Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. As the sole daughter of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a housewife, Delaney was raised with four brothers. In her early years she longed to be a court reporter. However, after graduating from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s then she started modeling. Her first film role was as a teenage innocent in All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney, a young actress from the 1980s has appeared in several films TV movies as well as dramas. Similar to her profession however, her private life has not been a success or happy one. The accomplished actor has had to battle alcoholism, as well as two divorces. The year 2005 was the time she was denied custody of her only child she was born with.
